Home Care Legislative Caucus Meeting

The mission of the New Jersey Legislative Home Care Caucus is to collaborate with a bipartisan representation of members from both chambers on issues related to home health care services.

By engaging a diverse group of stakeholders, the caucus will identify opportunities to support home care services for medically vulnerable children, adults, and seniors across the state who rely on access to these essential services in order to live independently and safely within their own homes.

  • Financial — Examine state funded financial support to help ensure access to quality care at home including educational programs for caregivers.
  • Legislative — Collaborate on home care specific legislation and policies.
  • Affordability — Deliberate how to make home care programs more affordable for all NJ residents ineligible for the Safety Net programs due to income limits within Medicaid, Medicare, Veterans Affairs, etc.
  • Regulatory — Review regulatory and policy issues that may affect home care services.
  • Workforce — Discuss the critical future workforce shortage issues that affect recruiting and retaining home care aides, nurses, clinicians, and other supportive staff.
